What types of organizations do you support?
The Institutional Division of Edelman Financial Services serves for-profit, nonprofit and religious organizations and charities, trade and professional associations, corporations, foundations and endowments, community groups and service organizations, schools and universities, and trust accounts. Whether yours is a small or mid-size organization, foundation, endowment or association, we can provide the expertise you need to manage your assets, whether your need is to produce additional current income or grow your assets for future use.

What reporting is provided?
We provide clear, easy-to-read monthly statements and online sites that ease your administrative burden. You will receive summary portfolio reports each month and a comprehensive portfolio analysis each quarter. You can also view your account’s current status online 24 hours a day.

How often are meetings held?
We’ll meet with you and your leadership team as often as you wish. Review meetings are determined by your preference; some clients ask us to participate in quarterly Board meetings, and while we prefer to meet with you in person to ensure the highest levels of service and contact, some clients prefer reviews to be handled by telephone or video conference. We are also available whenever necessary by telephone, email or in person to help you support your mission.

What is your fee?
As an investment adviser, we have a fiduciary duty to serve your best interests. Thus, our annual fee is based on the value of the assets we manage, not on transactions that we execute for you. We receive no commissions or third-party payments that would jeopardize our objectivity or conflict with our fiduciary responsibilities.

By working with us, you will never pay commissions, 12b-1 fees, consulting fees, trading expenses, brokerage costs or ticket charges. However, the fee does not include debit balances, related margin interest, IRA and retirement plan fees, transfer fees, SEC fees, 12b-1 fees for certain money market funds, expenses charged by the mutual funds (including management fees, transaction charges incurred for fund-level asset allocation model trades, custody of fund assets and other fund expenses), variable annuities and exchange-traded funds, or other fees or taxes that are required by law.

Instead, Edelman Institutional clients enjoy an asset-based fee schedule that is fully disclosed and completely transparent. The fee includes every aspect of your relationship with us, including drafting of the Investment Policy Statement, complete portfolio management, daily strategic rebalancing review, third-party custody, reporting, performance evaluation, board attendance and performance reviews, and dedicated client support.
