Wellspring Financial, Inc. is an independent consulting firm offering investment and advisory services through Sanders Morris Harris Inc., member FINRA/SIPC. The firm was started by Tom Tolleson, Jr. in 1993 and caters to the needs of families and businesses, primarily in the Southeastern U.S. The firm reflects Tom’s passion for solving the problems of high net worth individuals. Both of Tom’s grandfathers started businesses in Atlanta, Georgia and, because of inadequate planning, neither business is still in the family. That experience motivated Tom to help individuals and families avoid the problems that occurred in his family.

To that end, Tom earned degrees in law, theology and history from Emory University, Regent College and the University of Virginia respectively. He holds various securities and insurance licenses as well as a CFP®. Before beginning his own practice, he worked in a variety of jobs associated with the financial planning industry. He has been recognized in 2009 and 2010 as a FIVE STAR Wealth Manager by Atlanta Magazine. Tom also serves on boards for a number of not for profit organizations.

Consulting – The world we live in is complex and Tom, through his experience and background, works with families and businesses to strategize and resolve issues related to them personally, their estates or their business interests. This may involve, but is not limited to, issues such as intergenerational planning, benefits consulting, estate planning, retirement planning, financial planning and consultation after a loved one has passed away.

Investment and Insurance Planning – Tom provides investment and risk management solutions through his relationship with Sanders Morris Harris Inc. These solutions are tailored to each client, integrating the objectives and risk profiles of his clients with the vast array of possibilities provided in the marketplace. Tom’s expertise lies in his ability to understand his client’s needs, both spoken and unspoken, and to creatively match these with the instruments available in the financial and professional support arena.
