Company Overview:

Signet Healthcare Partners provides growth capital to commercial-stage healthcare companies. Signet was founded by James Gale and Sanders Morris Harris Group (now The Edelman Financial Group) in 1998. Since 1998, Signet has organized three funds with total committed capital of about $300 million. Signet has completed investments in 32 companies. The investment team is comprised of six professionals with principal offices in New York City. This team brings over 100 years of collective healthcare experience in the specialty pharmaceutical, medical device, private equity and investment banking businesses. Signet has maintained its dedicated focus to diversified healthcare investing – primarily serving as lead investor to companies engaged in specialty pharmaceuticals, medical devices and the pharma services industries.

Signet recently completed fund raising for its third fund in December 2010, having raised $130 million. Fund III has made two investments to date. The expected investment size is approximately $6-15 million. Signet seeks investment opportunities in which it can play an active and substantial role in helping management perform to their full potential and create shareholder value. Signet will consider both minority and majority investor positions in companies which are close to, or have achieved commercial operations that are seeking expansion stage capital. In general, Signet targets investment opportunities where it can capitalize on operational efficiencies and revenue expansion opportunities through business development activities and product strategies, including life cycle management.
